Date:
Saturday, February 3, 2018 - 8:00am to 5:00pm

The University of Findlay’s All Hazards Training Center is conducting free, DOT PHMSA approved training on Rail Car Incident Response for Crude, Ethanol, and Other Flammable Liquids. As more and more rail traffic transports crude oil, ethanol, and other flammable liquids across the U.S. and due to the increase in rail car incidents, DOT PHMSA has partnered with The All Hazards Training Center to ensure the responder community is educated about the dangers and unique hazards presented with rail incidents involving flammable liquids such as crude oil and ethanol. The information covered in this training will enhance the ability of emergency responders to assess the scene of a rail car incident involving crude oil, ethanol, and other flammable liquids, understand the resources needed to remediate the emergency situation, including how the railroad industry plays a critical role in the response. Hands-on scenarios with a 14ft rail car simulator are conducted during the training to emphasize the objectives of the course.

The training will be held at the Grundy County Emergency operations Center (EOC) on Saturday February 3rd from 8am to 5pm. Please share this opportunity with those folks and agencies that may benefit from this.
