Objectives:

Encourage designation of a weather watcher.

Identify the NWS products and services that are available before and during special events.

Supplement special event incident commander’s interpretation skills of NWS products.

Attendees will learn how to determine special event shelter/evacuation times.

Provide attendees with an established process for monitoring weather conditions.

Share prompt and actionable messages, to include stakeholders.

Provide public awareness information.Management of overall information flow among players/participants/jurisdictions.

Mobilize all critical resources and establish command, control, and coordination structures.
