National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW), in its 21st year, is a nationwide public awareness campaign that spreads the message that everyone shares the responsibility for work zone safety. NWZAW is April 26-30 in 2021.

During NWZAW, a state department of transportation (DOT) serves as host and holds a media kickoff event. In addition, public agencies, companies, organizations and individuals across the country take part in Go Orange Day and NWZAW-related events.  Groups involved in the roadway industry also hold events during the week to provide safety training to workers and to draw attention to the issue of work zone safety.

Drive Safe. Work Safe. Save Lives.
