DISASTER PREPAREDNESS FOR HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE
ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE — MGT-341
The National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) identified hospitals and healthcare
organizations as CI. This course brings planning and management stakeholders from the hospital
and healthcare sector together with supporting community leaders to ensure the resiliency of
healthcare infrastructure services in the event of a high-consequence event. Participants will
examine preparedness processes and activities, sector dependencies and interdependencies, and
discuss resiliency strategies to ensure the sustainability of these facilities and organizations.
Participants completing all four Critical Infrastructural Disaster Management courses (Disaster Management for Public Services, Disaster Preparedness for Hospitals & Healthcare Orgs within the Community, Disaster Management for Water and Wastewater Utilities, Disaster Management for Electric Power Systems) are eligible to apply for the Infrastructure Disaster Management Certificate. Recipients will receive a 10x13 certificate of Professional Recognition suitable for framing. There is no cost for the program.
