“The Impact of Energy Efficiency in Wastewater Facilities” - Peoria County Farm Bureau
SEDAC is partnering with the Illinois EPA Office of Energy and the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center (ISTC) to offer two educational workshops for wastewater operators this fall. Join us for interactive presentations about how energy efficiency can impact maintenance, costs, and increase efficiency at wastewater treatment facilities in Illinois.
The workshops will be held on October 29 from 8a-12pm at the Peoria County Farm Bureau (1716 N University St., #3, West Peoria, IL) and November 5 from 8a-12pm at the Effingham County Illinois Extension office.
Operators will gain key insight on how to achieve energy reduction and cost savings across their facilities. At the workshops, we will:
- Address how operators can overcome key implementation barriers to energy efficiency.
- Feature Illinois wastewater facilities that have identified or are implementing energy-saving strategies
- Review energy efficiency trends, available technical support and funding opportunities.
Operators can receive up to 4 continuing education credits towards their IEPA Wastewater Operator Certification by attending a workshop!
